Hello I am Elizabeth Fanslow…

…opening a paper store has been a dream of mine for quite some time. Up until now I have been a business consultant who has secretly had an obsession for books, journals, cards, and anything paper.

My husband and I recently moved from Florida for business, but our decision to live in Laurel was intentional. We had recently stopped into Laurel in our RV during a trip in February and fell in love with the town, the businesses & restaurants, and the slower pace of life. So when the right home became available, we made an offer and the rest is history.

I have been a business consultant since 2011…since I retired from my corporate job as the President of a private customer service center in Tampa, Florida. Since then I have worked with 100’s of business owners. However, I still felt the tug in my heart to do something more creative.

My husband Richard, and biggest supporter, pushed me gently…at first…to open a paper store in Laurel. I was hesitant, but he was persistent. We looked around for open space and found nothing in the downtown area. I had made up my mind that, if I couldn’t be downtown then I really didn’t want to move forward.

It wasn’t the right time, I told myself. But Richard wasn’t letting it go and he finally found a location at 513 CENTRAL AVENUE…it was a bit rough and not what I had pictured in my mind. It was our only option so I jumped at the opportunity to move forward. We opened in our new location on August 17, 2021.

In October of 2022 we got the opportunity to move to a bigger location on 326 N. Magnolia Street and haven’t looked back. We opened the doors in our new amazing location on November 1, 2022.

TRANSFERRED BACK TO FLORIDA

In April of 2024 we were transferred back to Florida and although we don’t have our retail shop any longer we still sell all our great products online and continue to expand our boutique print shop.

March 2022 - ADAM TREST STUDIO & BE AMAZING PAPER CO PARTNER. Adam Trest & Elizabeth Fanslow announced their partnership on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the Mississippi Made Event at The Yard at Laurel Mercantile.

Adam Trest Studio and Be Amazing Paper Company will partner to bring Adam’s beautiful art to life through printed stationery options. They released eight of Adam’s new prints in the form of a printed notecard. The stationery notecards are printed on a sturdy 88lb matte paper which brings out the bold coloring in Adam’s work. Each notecard comes with a Kraft envelope and can be purchased inside the Be Amazing Paper Shop in Laurel, Mississippi or through their online store.
